Hi, Scott! To get a copy of your Michigan GED transcript, download the form from here:

http://www.michigan.gov/documents/Transcript_Request_Form_101700_7.doc

It's a Word document. Print it out, fill it out, and mail it to the address at the top of the form. There is no fee for a transcript in Michigan. It'll take 1 to 3 weeks to process your request, depending on how long ago you took the test.

The contact information is:
Ms. Amy Heckman, Departmental Analyst
Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth (DELEG)
Bureau of Workforce Transformation
Division of Lifelong Learning - GED Testing
201 N. Washington, Victor Bldg., 2nd Floor
Lansing, MI 48913

my husband need to have proof of taking his g.e.d. for a new job. He took the g.e.d. in reno nv back in the early 80's. how can we get this info quickly?

Kirsten
Hi Carol,
The state of Nevada does not give people copies of their GED certificates. However, you can request a copy of his transcripts proving he passed the test. You can download the form you need to fill out at the link below. There is no way to request the transcript via phone or e-mail. You must send in the completed form. It says it will take them up to two weeks to process your request. Good luck!

I lost my GED and need iy for job purposes where eould I get a copy

Kirsten
Hi Tremel,
There are two places you can call. One is the place where you took the test. If that doesn't work, call the Department of Education in the state where you took the test. They should have a record of your GED and you can request a copy. Good luck!

I took my GED in 1982 in Broward County. How can I get a copy

Trevor
Hey John,

The best thing to do is to contact the testing center where you took the test, or the department of education in the state where you took the test.  If you are having trouble finding those numbers online, give me a call at 1-800-460-8150 and I will help you find them.  Good Luck!

Hey Martin,
If you took the test and you don't know the testing center any longer then the best thing to do is to contact the GED Testing Service directly and see if they can get your transcripts for you. Here is a link where you can request your transcript: http://www.gedtestingservice.com/testers/gedrequest-a-transcript

If they can not find your transcript you will need to retake the GED test to earn a GED. If this is something you need to do I would advise taking the test sooner than later. There is a new version of the GED test coming out in 2014 and it will be significantly harder. If you need to retake the test I would advise studying soon. Hopefully they can find your transcripts though! If not and you need help studying, give us a call at the GED Academy at 1-800-460-8150.

First of all I'm from Thailand and I have some question about getting the new copy of my GED transcript. I have already finished it since 2009 but it lost due to the flood. I already tried to contact my local test provider and they couldn't help anything. So, what I have to do in order to get the new copy of my transcript?
Kit Parker
Hey Tor,
Did you contact the local testing center through Prometric?
Unfortunately, that is the best way to get a copy of your GED transcript when you are outside of the USA and they don't appear to be very responsive
You could also try contacting one of the GED Testing Service provided contacts on this page: http://www.gedtestingservice.com/testers/gedrequest-a-transcript

Wishing you luck and sorry I can't be more helpful.
~Kit
