Joni
Hi. I am preparing for the GED test and would like some advice. I have been taking a lot of practice test at home, making 70%-88% scores. Is this a good enough score to pass the real GED exam?
Kirsten
Hi Joni, there are different forms of the GED test. That way, if you have to retake the test, you don't get the same questions. Each form distributes points to different questions differently. Because of that, there's no way I can tell you with 100% certainty that your scores are enough to pass. But, I'm leaning toward yes. You're getting pretty good scores, so I think it would be a good idea to go for it. Also, just an idea, we do offer an online practice test package that will yield a GED score for you. That might give you a better idea of where you're at. You can find our practice test package here: GED Academy Practice Tests Only  I hope this helps!

Kirsten, thank you so much for answering my question. If you don't mind, I would like to ask one more question. I know the GED is changing to a new system in 2014,  so I am planning on taking the test in October. If I didn't pass one part of the test, would I have time to retake that one part before the system changed?
Kirsten
Hi Joni, yes, you need to finish and pass all five subjects before the end of the year. If you haven't passed all of the subjects by December 31st, you will have to retake the entire test next year.
