Rami
Hi everyone . I don't know if this was the right place for this or no.

I took 2 ged tests reading and SS and got 510 score on each. I'm from Iraq and I have been living in usa for like 2 years and a half so the english isn't my first language. the reading test I didn't see it was that hard to pass it but my problem started at SS test for each 1-3 questions they give me long excerpt to read and just for reading them and trying to understand what is going on here take me long time I even missed like few questions in the SS test because of that .and I'm trying to get my ged done in at least 1 month  from now to get a better job and go to a collage . so please if u have any advice please let me know and also I   have the science test soon and I'm kinda afraid if I will have same problem as the SS test and my last problem is the essay. I don't know if I'm wrong or no but I heard that I will need a lot of information about the place u live in. in order to give examples and for me I'm here for less then 3 years and I'm very Concerned about that so any advice for that one too?

another note is right now I have my parents living with me and they both are old so I'm kinda trying to take care of them that's why I'm trying to get the ged fast and trying to go for a better job

Hey Rami,
Great job on the score of 510! If you're worried about the other subjects, the best plan is to study as much as you can. Get some books or check out the GED Academy http://www.passged.com/. You even get a practice essay with the program. Luckily, you don't have to remember a bunch of history for the GED test, you'll get a paragraph to read and then answer questions about it. If you focus on reading, that will help too! Good luck on the tests and getting that better job! Let us know how it goes!

Hi Mr.Robb thank you for the reply. I got 490 on science 1 week ago and got same score 490 today for the math test . now only the writing test left lol . I will start  practicing essay from now lol . essay is my last problem for the GED since there is a big difference between the essay here and the essay writing way that I know from my school in my old country .
Robb
Hi Rami,

That is great news about your Science and Math scores! Congratulations!

I know you can pass the rest of the GED--the other subjects that you made it through will be a foundation for the Writing section and if you study hard, there will be no stopping you! If you need help studying, give me a call and I'd be happy to help you with the GED Academy program. We'll help you with the Writing subject and you even get a teacher to grade some practice essays for you!

Good luck on the Writing Test--you're almost there! Let us know how it goes.

Hi I just got the score for my writing test it say I got 520 but it didn't say anything about the essay so I'm kind of confused. Does that mean I passed? or there is no score for the essay means I didn't pass? and so far my scores were:
510 reading
510 S.S
490 science
490 math
and just got my writing test score it's 520 but there is no score for the essay itself so I'm not sure about it.

Hey Rami,
If you received a score for your writing section then you likely passed your essay section (from my understanding, you shouldn't receive a writing score for your test if you don't receive at least a score of 2 on your essay) To be sure, you should call the testing center where you took the test to see if they can clarify for you but my guess would be that you passed if you received a score. Congrats on great scores on the GED test, those are definitely scores to be proud of! Kudos to you!
